Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,

"Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"

"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."

"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

很久很久以前，有一個島國，那里住了所有的感情：快樂，悲傷，謙虛，貪婪，知識，愛情......

有一天，這個小島即將沉沒，于是大家都趕緊收行李，坐上自己的小船，準備逃離這個小島。愛情是唯一留下來的，他要堅守到最后一刻。

當整個島都沒入了海洋，愛情決定向其他感情求助。

財富駕駛著它的大船第一個經過，愛情對它說：

“財富，你可以帶我一起走嗎？”

財富回答說：“我的船上全都是金銀珠寶，根本沒有多余的空間了，所以我幫不了你。”

虛榮駕駛著漂亮的船經過，愛情對它說：

“虛榮，請帶我一起走吧！”

虛榮看了看知識，說：“你全身濕噠噠的，我的船這么漂亮，我怕你弄臟我的船。”

這時候悲傷剛好經過，愛情又向它求救。但是悲傷同樣的也拒絕了，因為悲傷早已經習慣了孤孤單單一個人……

不久快樂也劃船過來了，但是它只顧著哼著愉快的歌，完全沒有注意到愛情的求救。

就在愛情感到心灰意冷的時候，傳來了一個老者聲音：“我帶你一起走吧！”愛情開心的笑了，它搭上了這位老者的小船，一起跟著離開了淪陷的小島。

不久它們到達了陸地，老者放下了愛情，又繼續自己的旅程了……獲救的愛情這才想起，忘了問那位老者的姓名。

于是，愛情去問另一位叫“智慧”的老者：

“那天是誰救了我？”

“時間！”智慧老人回答道。

“時間？”愛情問道？“它為什么會救我？”

智慧老人微微一笑，回答道：“只有時間才會明白，愛情的價值有多大！”
